The eyes are one of the major facial feature of our face which can easily state that we are tired, happy or unhappy. Many people suffer from the problems of dark circles, puffiness of the eye or the drooping lower and upper eyelid. These problems can make us look tired and fatigued. The cosmetic eyelid surgery will deal with all these problems and is meant for those seek improvement in their facial appearance. The surgical process of Blepharoplasty will eliminate the excess fat of the upper eyelids and also tightens the lower eyelid and can also drastically reduce under-eye bags.
The surgical process of Blepharoplasty aims at improving and modifying the eyelid. By this procedure, the surplus skin and fat tissues are positioned again and the concerned tendons and muscles can also be reinforced . It can be both a functional and cosmetic surgery. The surgery aims at improving the surrounded area of the patient’s eye so as to make it look more relaxed and rejuvenated. Blepharoplasty can be done alone or combined with other facial surgeries such as a Facelift and Eye Brow lift surgery to give a younger looking appearance.
The first step before starting the procedure is to mark the surplus skin in a standing position. The surgery is performed under general anesthesia. The incision is done on the crease of the lid and the deep muscle is tightened and the skin is pulled off and the accumulated fat is removed. The surgeon then closes the incision with the help of fine sutures so as to prevent scarring. In the surgical process of the lower lid the excess fat from the lower lid is treated with the help of transconjunctival Blepharoplasty. Canthoplasty is a surgical process in which the lid is tightened at the edges of the eye when there is excessive laxity of the lid.
Liposuction, also referred to as Lipoplasty, Liposculpture and Suction Lipectomy is a type of cosmetic surgery that reshapes the different parts of the body by removing excess fat deposits from the desired areas. By using this technique, excess or unwanted fat can be removed. Breast, hips, thighs, stomach, waist, neck, chin, calves and arms are the different body areas from where the fat is removed using Liposuction technique. More and more people are opting for this technique to get a perfect shape of their body.
The surgical procedure starts by making little incisions of about 3mm in order to insert small tube named cannula beneath the skin. This smaller tube is connected to a device which generates high vacuum pressure. The earlier fat deposits which are treated earlier with the help of injections, are then suctioned out from the skin through cannula. The small tube (cannula) reaches to the specific desired areas of the skin by moving beneath the skin. Generally more than one incision is required and the number also depends on each area characteristics. In order to make the outer appearance homogeneous, the surgeon follows a cross line pattern to introduce the small tube (cannula) from other positions. The removal of fat becomes easier when it ruptures and liquefies.
With the effect of ageing, many problems can be seen on the face. These may due to the stresses of daily life, effects of gravity and excess exposure to the sun. A deep crease develops in between the nose and the mouth, excess fat deposits appears on the neck and the jaw line grows slack. Surgeries like Rhinoplasty, Blepharoplasty and brow lift can also be performed with a facelift surgery. The area above the eyes is treated with the help of brow lift or forehead lift surgery. Non surgical procedures can also be performed for reshaping the structure of the face. Botox or dermal fillers are the most common non-surgical procedure.
Surgical facelift procedures begin with incisions at the patient's temples, just above the hairline. The incisions are made till the front of the ears, protruding beneath the ear lobe natural creases. The tissues and muscles are then separated and the fat is removed. The deep muscles are tightened and excess skin is pulled up to align with the newly positioned muscles. The surgeon then trims the outlying skin tissues and stitches the incisions. To ensure all scars are hidden either in the normal skin folds or the hairlines, all incisions are made along natural skin creases. An incision can also be made under your chin.
